Teams of cablex technicians train Swisscom apprentices.

The Field Services team of technicians and Swisscom apprentices: a win-win project. Our ICT technicians in the field pass on their specific specialist knowledge, and the Swisscom apprentices help them with their daily work.

Swisscom apprentices can tailor their training using what are called "quali projects". The prerequisite for this is that the project fits their career profile. In our short film, Marcos Lois, ICT Technician at cablex Field Services, and Davide Esposito, Trainee Retail Specialist, visit customers on behalf of Swisscom.

Teams of cablex technicians train Swisscom apprentices.

During the visits, Davide learns a great deal about giving advice correctly to customers at home and, of course, receives technical training. What is the quickest way to find out where the reported fault occurred in the network? How does optical fibre reach the home, and what if the Internet suddenly stops working?

Marcos Lois has been working in the field for 15 years. He is passionate about his work and loves his job. Often, a fault report is the reason for visiting the customer. Customers are often grateful for further advice. Topics at work include help with installing additional routers or setting up or repairing TV or WLAN boxes.

Swisscom trainees generally spend six months training with cablex, and there have already been cases where the trained person later decided to pursue a technical career.
